Silverdale AA Group Christmas Alcothon will be happening from 7AM-midnight Friday, December 24th through Sunday, December 26th

For New Year’s, 7AM-1AM on Friday, December 31, and 7AM-midnight Saturday, January 1 and Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Come join us for some holiday fellowship at the Lighthouse hall!

We’re moving!

The painting and cleaning of our new hall is underway, and we hope to be moved by October 15th! Check with any meeting chair if you are interested in helping with the move.

The meeting schedule will remain the same, but now that we’ll be settled for a while, we can start to fill in the empty slots. Anyone with 90 days sober can serve as meeting chair. It’s a great way to get involved!

Updated Covid Protocol

There have been reports of several positive Covid cases among members attending the blue house within the last few weeks, as well as reports of some folks awaiting results.

If you are a regular attendee at the blue house, please remain alert to your health. If you are experiencing any symptoms, even mild ones, please limit your meeting attendance to Zoom.

In accordance with current state orders, face coverings will be required at meetings, regardless of vaccination status.

Looking forward

The terms outlined in the letter of intent submitted to the landlord at Lighthouse Plaza have been accepted and it looks like we will be able to gain access around mid-October to make the place habitable for us.

Painting and carpet cleaning will need to be done and then, of course, the main move. This time of transition will be a great opportunity for both service and fellowship, so stay tuned for information about what will need to be done and when. Everyone’s participation is welcome!

Where We Might Go

At our recent emergency Group Conscience last Thursday, the membership voted to move to the Lighthouse Plaza location, pending a response to the submitted letter of intent.

If the landlord finds our terms favorable, our goal for moving in will be November 1, although we hope to gain access before that date to paint and clean the carpets.

Some members feel that we should remain in Silverdale proper rather than drift toward East Bremerton. To honor the perspectives of all, it was also agreed that if a more suitable space in Silverdale becomes available before this location is finalized, it will also be given serious consideration.

Lighthouse Plaza

Greetings, AA folks! A promising new location is in the works right now at Lighthouse Plaza in East Bremerton. The main room is 22’x24’, and there are three smaller rooms similar in size to our back room at the blue house. Bathrooms are down a hallway, there is adequate parking, wheelchair access, and even a spot for the smokers!

It needs a painting and a carpet cleaning, but there’s the possibility of completing these ourselves in exchange for a reduction in a month’s rent. Otherwise, the monthly rent would be around $1320/month, and includes utilities! Please peruse the pictures below, meditate and/or pray on it, and we’ll see you Thursday, September 2, 2021 for what’s sure to be a lively Group Conscience!
